The pragmatic goal of the practice of Enterprise Architecture is to find opportunities to use technology to add business value

Enterprise competitive edge

An enterprise’s competitive edge and ultimate success are enabled by its ability to rapidly respond to changing business strategies, governance, and technologies.
The competitive edge translates into higher levels of war-fighter satisfaction, shorter time-to-capabilities cycles, and reductions in  field failures, improved operational continuity  all resulting in the ability to deliver desired outcomes.

DoDAF / TOGAF FEA Architecture Framework
An architecture framework is a tool. It should describe a method for designing an information system in terms of a set of building blocks, and for showing how the building blocks fit together.

The Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)  serves as the overarching, comprehensive framework and conceptual model enabling the development of architectures to facilitate the ability of Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal agency managers at all levels to make key decisions more effectively through organized information sharing across the Department, Joint Capability Areas (JCAs), Mission, Component, and Program boundaries.

JBS Group specializes in a a set of tools that provide a common vocabulary. We include a list of recommended standards and compliant products that can be used to implement the building blocks.
